What's included in every aircon service

Every aircon service — regardless of tier — includes shoe covers and floor protection before we touch anything. We take before-and-after photos so you can see exactly what was done. No extra charge for this.

For a standard service: we wash and disinfect the air filters, clean the evaporator coil, clear the drainage tray and piping, clean the blower wheel, vacuum the drainage line, and run a compressor pressure check. The whole job takes 20–30 minutes per unit.

For a chemical wash: the evaporator coil is flushed with chemical solution, all components are high-pressure washed, and the full drainage system is flushed. Allow 45–60 minutes per unit.

If we spot anything that needs attention — low gas, a cracked drain tray, unusual compressor readings — we'll flag it clearly and quote separately. We won't do extra work without your approval.

Singapore's heat and humidity mean aircon units work harder than in most countries — and collect dust, mould, and bacteria faster. Most manufacturers and NEA recommend servicing every 3 months for residential units.

If you run your aircon for more than 8 hours a day, or if there are pets in the household, every 2 months is better. Neglecting servicing forces the compressor to work harder, raises your electricity bill, and shortens the unit's lifespan.

Aircon not cold

Usually caused by a dirty evaporator coil blocking airflow, or low refrigerant gas. A chemical wash restores coil performance. If gas is low, we quote a top-up separately after diagnosing the cause — low gas often means a leak that needs finding first. A coil running dirty for 12+ months draws 20–30% more electricity — before cooling noticeably drops.

Water leaking from aircon

Almost always a blocked drainage line or overflowing drain tray. We clear this as part of every standard service. If the drain tray is cracked or the pipe is disconnected, we'll show you and quote a fix before touching anything. Left uncleared, a blocked drain overflows into your wall or ceiling — what started as a $25 fix becomes a water damage claim.

Aircon smells bad

Musty or foul smells mean mould and bacteria have built up on the coil and in the drainage system — routine cleaning won't reach it. A chemical wash with mould treatment clears it fully. Most units are odour-free within 30 minutes of the job finishing. Mould on the coil blows spores into the room every time the unit runs — it doesn't clear on its own.

Rattling is usually a loose panel or debris in the blower. A humming or grinding sound points to the fan motor or compressor. We inspect and diagnose on-site.
