Mitsubishi Electric units — including the popular Starmex multi-split systems — are well-engineered, but Singapore's humidity accelerates mould and mineral buildup on the evaporator coil and in the drainage system. Neglected units run harder, cost more to operate, and wear out faster.
For standard servicing, we clean and disinfect the air filters, clean the evaporator coil, clear the drainage tray and pipes, clean the blower wheel, vacuum the drain line, and run a compressor pressure check. For Starmex multi-split systems, we service each indoor unit individually — the outdoor unit is inspected as part of the compressor check.
For a chemical wash, the coil is flushed with chemical solution, all components are high-pressure washed, and the drainage system is fully flushed.
Before-and-after photos are sent to you after every service. Any issues found — low gas, cracked tray, loose connections — are flagged and quoted before we proceed.
Usually a dirty evaporator coil reducing airflow, or low refrigerant gas. A chemical wash resolves most coil-related cooling issues. If gas is low, we diagnose the cause first — low gas in a well-maintained unit usually means a slow leak somewhere.
In Starmex multi-split setups, one indoor unit can underperform while others work fine. Common causes: that unit's coil is significantly dirtier, or refrigerant distribution is uneven. We assess each indoor unit individually and advise clearly.
Blocked drainage is the most common cause — cleared as part of every standard service. If the drain tray is cracked or the pipe has come loose, we'll show you the problem and quote a fix before doing any repair work.
Mitsubishi Electric error codes indicate specific faults — drainage issues, refrigerant problems, sensor faults. We diagnose on-site and explain what the code means in plain terms, and what it'll cost to fix.
