Daikin units are built to last, but Singapore's humidity means the filters, evaporator coil, and drainage system accumulate dust, mould, and bacteria faster than in most climates. A neglected Daikin works harder, consumes more electricity, and wears out its compressor earlier.
For a standard service, we wash and disinfect the air filters, clean the evaporator coil, clear the drainage tray and pipes, clean the blower wheel, vacuum the drain line, and run a compressor pressure check. Takes 20–30 minutes per unit.
For a chemical wash, the evaporator coil is flushed with chemical solution, all components are high-pressure washed, and the drainage system is fully flushed. Takes 45–60 minutes per unit.
We take before-and-after photos of every unit and send them to you. If we spot anything — low gas, cracked drain tray, unusual compressor readings — we'll flag it and quote separately before doing any additional work.
Usually a dirty evaporator coil reducing airflow, or low refrigerant gas. A chemical wash resolves most coil-related cooling issues. If gas is low, we diagnose the cause before topping up — low gas often means a slow leak that needs finding first.
Almost always a blocked drainage line or overflowing drain tray. Cleared as part of every standard service. If the tray is cracked or the pipe is disconnected, we show you and quote before touching anything.
Mould and bacteria have built up on the coil — standard cleaning won't reach it. A chemical wash with mould treatment clears it. Units are typically odour-free within 30 minutes of the job finishing.
Common Daikin error codes (U4, E7, C4, etc.) indicate sensor, refrigerant, or drainage issues. We diagnose on-site and advise clearly on what needs fixing and the cost — before doing any work.
